Educational dance classes for Anchorage
Pulse Dance Company values what the arts bring to our community, and aims to make joyful classes accessible to as many people as possible each summer.
Meet several of our performing artists as they lead FREE, non-intimidating community classes in various movement styles.
Classes are open to ages 13 through adult.
Sundays in August, 2:00-3:00pm at Studio Pulse (2422 E. Tudor)

(high energy dance moves that'll leave you feeling great!) -
August 27th: Intro to Contemporary with Maizie
(warm up and learn a choreography combination)

Your wild & curious winter vacation
Fall down the rabbit hole with Alice, twirl among the dancing flowers, and be dazzled by a very cool cat!
Pulse Dance Company takes a hiatus from The Nutcracker to present this community inclusive production! Dancers and dance enthusiasts ages 10+ are invited to audition on September 9th for a myriad of exciting roles.
We're all mad at this tea party, and you can totally sit with us.
Two shows only, December 15th & 16th at the UAA Wendy Williamson Auditorium.

The Velvet Box
Immersive burlesque theatre
Pulse Dance Company presents the art of burlesque as Anchorage has never experienced it before.
Viewers will slip into a dark, nostalgic world filled with secrets, intrigue, and carnal desire. Tingle with anticipation as this delectable show unfurls, one pocket of visual pleasures after another.
A captivating fusion of dance and sensual performance art, The Velvet Box is a sumptuous experience you'll want to come to again, and again, and again...

BLOOM
Pulse's signature artists in residence program
Bloom is Pulse Dance Company's signature choreographers in residence program.
Launched in 2018 to nurture, unite, and provide professional development for emerging and mature contemporary dance makers, Bloom provides dance-specific support for the creation of new dances in Anchorage through artist stipends, months of free rehearsal space, concert production, and videography for artists' future grant applications.
This year's six selected artists are Yolinda Alvarez, Jayden Coulson, Irelia McKnight, Reagan Miller, Robyn Minor, and Taylor Swezy.
Proudly featured in the concert is UAA's reinstated dance program, with works by faculty member Katie O'Loughlin, and UAA guest artist Kara Komarnitsky.
Guest performances include exciting numbers by Studio Pulse's youth and adult programs.
Guaranteed to inspire and delight, this colorful evening of local dance is not to be missed!
